The Congress of Applied Research in Health and Medicine, organized by the Universidad Abierta Interamericana, brought together 59 research papers presented by 172 authors. This event highlighted the importance of environmental health, underscoring how environmental factors influence human health and the need for public policies for healthier environments. In addition, innovations in integral and humanized patient care were explored, emphasizing the use of technology with an empathic approach to improve diagnosis and treatment. Nursing also played a central role, with studies on training and sustainability in health systems. Health sciences education was another key focus, addressing the use of digital technologies and interdisciplinary approaches to prepare the professionals of the future. This congress reaffirmed the university's commitment to research and innovation to build a healthier and more inclusive future.
